Comparison of car turbocharger and turbocharger

When it comes to turbocharging, natural aspiration is naturally mentioned, and then two gangs-self-powder and turbo powder are produced. The structure of natural aspiration is relatively simple. Turbocharging is equipped with a set of turbochargers on the basis of natural aspiration. The compressor is naturally stronger than self-priming in terms of power. As for the turbo lag problem, with the advancement of modern technology, the lag is no longer obvious.

The earliest turbocharging technology was used in airplanes. Engineers discovered the charm of turbocharging. After continuous experiments, in 1962, General Motors installed an Oldsmobile Jet-fire into a turbocharging system—V8 turbo. Supercharged became the first car in the world to use turbocharging technology, and then there was the BMW 2002, which is the originator of the 3 series, and the Porsche series, the Saab 900, followed by the Audi 80 and 100. Turbocharging technology.

The principle of turbocharging technology is actually very simple. Simply put, it is composed of a

turbocharger and a turbine. The two are connected by a drive shaft. When the vehicle runs to a certain speed, the exhaust gas discharged from the exhaust valve is enough to push the turbine blades. , The entire turbocharging system is connected to work. The high-temperature exhaust gas drives the turbine blades to rotate, and the blades drive the turbocharger to rotate through the drive shaft to compress the air entering the intake pipe. Because the temperature of the compressed air rises, the air needs the inter cooler to dissipate heat and burn when it enters the engine intake duct. This increases the lung capacity of the engine, coupled with direct injection in the cylinder, so as to achieve the ideal air-fuel ratio, the power is enhanced, and the fuel economy is also improved.

The principle of turbocharging is also very simple. The air passes through the inlet, filtered by air filter and then enters the main inlet of the turbocharger. The rotation of the turbocharger rotor compresses the incoming air, and the generated high-temperature gas is cooled by the inter cooler. Then it enters the intake port for combustion, so the difference between turbocharging and turbocharging is that no matter how fast or slow the vehicle is, turbocharging is involved in the work. The turbocharger blades are constantly rotating. The difference is that the torque of turbocharger is greater than turbocharger when driving at low speed, but the power performance is relatively weaker than turbocharger when driving at high speed, because turbocharger also consumes the power of the engine when driving. Therefore, mechanical turbocharging is more suitable for large-displacement engines, and mechanical turbocharging is more precise than turbocharging, and the maintenance cost will be greater.
