Small B users in foreign trade will gradually increase


Recently, the Global E-Commerce Conference was held in Xiamen, Fujian Province, as an important special forum of the 2019 Xiamen International Fair for Investment and Trade and Silk Road Investment Conference. The theme of this year's Global E-Commerce Conference is "Innovation in Digital Economy, Sharing Silk Road E-Commerce", and the conference attracted many elites from domestic Internet, e-commerce and cross-border e-commerce industries.


At the conference, "Foreign Trade Cow", a pioneer of cross-border e-commerce brands going abroad, and other cross-border e-commerce giants such as Alibaba and Amazon, discussed topics such as "New Opportunities for E-Commerce Development in a Global Perspective" and "The Practice and Application of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data in E-Commerce". "Foreign Trade Cow" selected data from 5,000 enterprises served from 2017 to the first half of 2019, as well as a large number of customer research, and distilled the current overseas marketing trends that are taking place. "Chen Songqing, co-founder and general manager of Foreign Trade Cow, believes that the changing trends of the future foreign trade industry can be anticipated from the three aspects of overseas marketing carriers, overseas marketing behaviors and overseas marketing results. Under the wave of Internet, the communication between global users is becoming more and more convenient, the boundary between foreign trade wholesale and retail is becoming more and more blurred, many overseas retailers and larger end-users start to connect directly to domestic suppliers, and the number of small B users (small merchants) will gradually increase.


Chen Songqing suggested that in the general environment of overseas customers tending to be small B-side, independent website marketing will need a new ecological chain, establishing a B-side + C-side multi-language responsive independent website; using Google and Facebook and other platform traffic to attract traffic to the website; using instant messaging and social facilitation to improve the conversion rate of enquiries; and using CRM customer data management to tap more customer value.


The China E-Commerce Development Report (2018-2019) was also released during the conference. The report shows that e-commerce has entered a period of relatively stable development from a period of ultra-high growth since 2016, but in the first half of 2019, the year-on-year growth in online retail sales of physical goods was still as high as 21.6%, and e-commerce continues to assume a strong driving force for national economic development.
